Hasta ah\u00ed nada diferencia los aceites de oliva de otros.<\/p>\n<p>Pero todos sabemos que no es un aceite m\u00e1s. La propia Uni\u00f3n Europea ha reconocido que el consumo del \u00e1cido oleico, la vitamina E y los polifenoles que contienen los aceites de oliva tienen<strong> efectos beneficiosos para la salud<\/strong> (<em>Reglamento 432\/2012 de 16 de mayo de 2012 sobre declaraciones autorizadas de propiedades saludables de los alimentes distintas a la reducci\u00f3n del riesgo de enfermedad y al desarrollo y la salud de los ni\u00f1os<\/em>). Es m\u00e1s, en lo tocante a los polifenoles (\u201ccontribuyen a la protecci\u00f3n de los l\u00edpidos de la sangre frente al da\u00f1o oxidativo\u201d) la norma establece un consumo recomendado para poder hablar de efecto beneficiosos de 20 gramos de aquellos aceites de oliva v\u00edrgenes que contengan un m\u00ednimo de 5 miligramos de antioxidantes en esa proporci\u00f3n de aceite.<\/p>\n<p>Habr\u00e1 quien se sienta tentado a pensar que a mayor consumo, mayores ser\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n los beneficios para nuestra salud. La ciencia nos dice que eso es una verdad s\u00f3lo a medias. <strong>Tan desaconsejable es una dieta sin aceites como otra en la que su consumo sea excesivo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Como todo en la vida, es una cuesti\u00f3n de equilibrio. Aceites de oliva, por supuesto, pero nunca en exceso. Volvemos pues a la pregunta del principio, \u00bfqu\u00e9 cantidad es la razonable? La ciencia nos echa una mano en este asunto. M\u00e1s en concreto los investigadores que trabajan en el <strong>Estudio PREDIMED<\/strong> sobre los efectos de la dieta mediterr\u00e1nea en la prevenci\u00f3n primaria de la enfermedad cardiovascular. Durante a\u00f1os, miles de participantes en este estudio tomaron una dieta mediterr\u00e1nea controlada suplementada con aceites de oliva virgen extra, \u201caconsej\u00e1bamos a esas personas que tomaran unos 50 mililitros al d\u00eda, unas 5 cucharadas soperas de aceite de oliva virgen extra al d\u00eda. Aunque, con el tiempo, hemos comprobado que tomaban unos <strong>40 mililitros al d\u00eda (unos 37 gramos)<\/strong>\u201d, nos confirma Ram\u00f3n Estruch, coordinador del Estudio.<\/p>\n<p>Con el tiempo se ha podido comprobar que esas personas \u201ctienen menos riesgo de padecer diabetes; su presi\u00f3n arterial es m\u00e1s baja; presentan menos cuadros de depresi\u00f3n y, sobre todo, tienen menos riesgo de padecer una enfermedad cardiovascular\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, el estudio ha podido constatar otra evidencia: \u201cPor lo que hemos visto hasta ahora, las personas que han hecho una dieta mediterr\u00e1nea con aceites de oliva virgen extra, a pesar de tomar m\u00e1s calor\u00edas que la gente del grupo de control (con una dieta pobre en grasas) no han engordado. Al contrario hemos verificado una tendencia a bajar el peso y el per\u00edmetro de la cintura. Por lo tanto no hay miedo a a\u00f1adir aceites de oliva en la dieta porque sea una grasa\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Conclusiones:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>El Estudio PREDIMED ha constatado que las personas que siguen una dieta mediterr\u00e1nea con aceite de oliva virgen extra <strong>pierden peso frente a aquellas que toman otras bajas en grasa<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Los expertos recomiendan una ingesta diaria de unos<strong> 40 mililitros (37 gramos) de aceites de oliva al d\u00eda para conseguir todos los efectos beneficiosos<\/strong> de este alimento.<\/li>\n<li>La Agencia Europea de Seguridad Alimentaria (EFSA) recomienda un <strong>consumo m\u00ednimo de 20 gramos al d\u00eda<\/strong> para beneficiarse de los efectos saludables de los polifenoles que contiene el aceite de oliva virgen extra.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n: <a href=\"www.interprofesionaldelaceitedeoliva.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.interprofesionaldelaceitedeoliva.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los aceites de oliva, como el resto de aceites, generan un aporte de 9 calor\u00edas por cada gramo ingerido.
