How\u00a0about an afternoon of family handicrafts? Painting, sticking, drawings and letting your\u00a0imagination run wild with some fusilli and tempera colours is what this activity is all\u00a0about.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Mirror, mirror\u2026<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>To start, you\u2019ll need a piece of untreated wood and a small mirror. Stick the mirror onto\u00a0the wood leaving enough space around it to form a frame for the children to decorate\u00a0with glee. While the glue is setting, get painting the spaghetti, fusilli, macaroni and\u00a0farfalle with tempera colours, glitter, etc. as the work of art takes shape. Once the\u00a0pieces of pasta are dry, arrange them on the frame around the mirror to create an\u00a0original pattern. Once you\u2019re done, stick them on, let them dry and hang it up!<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Macaroni necklaces and bracelets!<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>If you\u2019ve got fashion-conscious kids, why not get them to design their own jewellery?\u00a0They can make charms out of macaroni painted with tempera colours and decorated\u00a0with felt-tip pens. They\u2019ll find it easiest to thread them onto wool.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Imagining with farfalle<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>You can give your creativity free rein with these little bowtie-shaped pieces of pasta.\u00a0Butterfly wings, hair bows, flowers\u2026 they can be whatever you want. For example, you\u00a0could make a collage on card by sticking on farfalle and drawing in between them, or\u00a0turn the farfalle into originally designed counters for a game of noughts and crosses.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Personalised pencil holders<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>Let\u2019s carry on painting and decorating pasta\u2014this time with macaroni, because their\u00a0rounded shape means we can work on curved surfaces. Here we\u2019re going to\u00a0personalise a pencil holder for a desk. We\u2019ll reuse an old can or tin: first clean it\u00a0thoroughly and then bend in the sharp edge with a pair of pliers and cover with fabric\u00a0tape.
