Don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s not that complicated! By making just a few simple\u00a0changes, you\u2019ll find your body thanking you from inside and out. It\u2019s more of a\u00a0long-distance run than a mad dash, though. Start with these small moves to get\u00a0things rolling.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>First and foremost, a bit of order. <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Our bodies get confused if we eat at\u00a0different times every day. Take your time when you eat, chew well and don\u2019t\u00a0jump into bed the minute you\u2019ve put down your fork. Start the day with a good\u00a0breakfast (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/worldwide.borges.es\/blogpost\/5-tasty-and-healthy-breakfasts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">you\u2019ll find plenty of ideas here<\/a><\/span>) and eat three proper meals a day,\u00a0plus a mid-morning and afternoon snack of fresh fruit, a handful of nuts or a\u00a0yogurt and raisins.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Talking of fruit\u2026 <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>We know that it can be a bit boring, but fruit is packed with\u00a0goodness, especially if you eat the skin. You can liven things up by making some aromatic water with mango,\u00a0pineapple, strawberries and mint leaves or cucumber and lemon. You can also\u00a0get your water intake from fruit and vegetables, but avoid fizzy and sugary\u00a0drinks.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Forget about avoiding certain foods. <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>We\u2019ve said it before and we\u2019ll say it\u00a0again: the key to a healthy diet is variety. Don\u2019t go down the path of cutting out\u00a0carbohydrates or fats or going mad with gluten (provided you\u2019re not gluten\u00a0intolerant, of course), meat or dairy products. Eat a bit of everything in\u00a0moderation.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Moderation is key.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>When it comes to eating things like red meat (white meat\u00a0such as chicken or turkey is better) or salt (vinaigrettes and spices are better).\u00a0And cut out as much saturated fat as possible in favour of unsaturated fats,\u00a0which you\u2019ll find in nuts, blue fish and olive oil.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Get your fibre fix! <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Fibre is vital for your digestive system. Wholegrain cereals\u00a0are always more nutritional, because they keep all the germ and bran. So go for\u00a0multigrain bread, wholemeal pasta and brown rice. You\u2019ll also find fibre in fresh\u00a0fruit, dried fruit such as prunes and raisins and vegetables like artichokes and\u00a0spinach.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">More baking and less frying. <\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>How we cook our food is just as important as\u00a0what we eat: it\u2019s no good choosing healthy foods and then cooking them\u00a0unhealthily. Boiling, steaming, grilling and lightly frying or saut\u00e9ing food in a little\u00a0olive oil is much better than frying it.
