Let\u2019s get cooking!<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Starters: carrot hummus and devilled eggs with guacamole and king\u00a0prawns<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>To start, you\u2019ll need 400\u00a0g of carrots, 1 clove of garlic, a handful of nuts, salt,\u00a0pepper, cumin and a lemon. Peel the carrots, add salt and pepper to taste and\u00a0roast in the oven at 180\u00a0\u00baC until soft. Once they have cooled, give them a whiz\u00a0in the blender, add the other ingredients and blend them some more. Add salt\u00a0and cumin to taste, plus a dash of lemon, and mix together.<\/p>\n<p>Next, boil the eggs, let them cool, peel and cut them in half lengthways and\u00a0empty out the yolk. For the filling, mix some homemade guacamole (read how\u00a0to make it in this post on <a href=\"http:\/\/worldwide.borges.es\/blogpost\/mexican-dinner-party-at-home\/?en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mexican recipes<\/span><\/a>) together with the yolk and top it off\u00a0with a peeled, clean, deveined king prawn.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Main courses: hake balls and quinoa risotto\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>To make hake balls, you\u2019ll need 250\u00a0g of cleaned, deboned hake, 1 onion, 1\u00a0leek, some pumpkin, 1 egg, cornflour, gluten-free breadcrumbs, fresh parsley\u00a0and extra-virgin olive oil. Chop up the onion and leek and gently fry in a pan.\u00a0Break up the hake into small pieces and add to the pan, together with the egg,\u00a0salt and chopped fresh parsley. Slowly add the breadcrumbs until you get a firm\u00a0mixture. Shape the hake balls, roll them in flour and fry in extra-virgin olive oil.\u00a0They would go wonderfully with a sauce made with pureed oven-roast\u00a0vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>To make the quinoa risotto, cook the quinoa following the instructions on the\u00a0packet. Meanwhile, gently fry half a chopped leek and half a cubed pumpkin for\u00a0every 1 cup of quinoa. Add salt and pepper to taste. Once they\u2019re cooked, add a\u00a0handful of raisins and the cooked quinoa. Stir well and add 200\u00a0ml of gluten-free\u00a0vegetable milk. Cook over a low heat for about 10 minutes until the milk has\u00a0been soaked up by the other ingredients.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Dessert: apple tart<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>We\u2019ll finish with a classic favourite with all the family. You\u2019ll need 1\u00a0kg of apples\u00a0plus 2 extra apples, a cup of sugar, a cup of milk, a cup of gluten-free flour, 3\u00a0eggs and half a packet of baking powder. Peel and cut the apples and throw\u00a0them into the blender with the eggs, milk, sugar, flour and baking power. Once\u00a0you\u2019ve got a smooth mixture, pour it into an ovenproof mould. Preheat the oven\u00a0to 180\u00a0\u00baC and decorate the top with peeled slices from the 2 extra apples.
