Scary Pasta with Meatballs

Ingredients
- 350 g Borges penne
- 400 g minced meat (beef, pork or a mixture)
- 1 medium egg
- 25 g breadcrumbs
- 20 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic
- An ample splash of Borges extra virgin olive oil
- Black pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- Salt and oregano to taste
For the decoration
- Borges black sliced olives
- Small balls of mozzarella
Step by step

Step 1
Cook the penne according to the instructions on the package. Set them aside.

Combine the minced meat with the egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped garlic, salt, and pepper. Form small meatballs of a uniform size.

Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan and brown the meatballs. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, add a little more extra virgin olive oil if needed and sauté the chopped onion and the remaining minced garlic until softened. Add the crushed tomatoes, salt, and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the meatballs to the sauce and cook for 5-10 minutes more.

Mix the cooked pasta with the sauce and the meatballs. Serve on individual plates.

Decorate each meatball with sliced black olives and a piece of mozzarella at the center to make them look like eyes.
