The latest christmas revolution: alcohol-free cocktails

20 December 2018

Already thinking about Christmas cocktails to get things going? Fancy something different from the usual G&T or champagne cocktail? How about trying the latest craze that’s sweeping the world: alcohol-free cocktails? Healthy, impressive, original and tasty, what more could you ask for? Your guests will be swept off their feet. Here are some ideas for making them at home.

Alcohol-free daiquiri
Lime or lemon juice, sugar, crushed ice and your favourite fruit juice (melon, mango, pineapple, strawberry…). Give it all a good shake and you’re good to go!

Piña colada
Natural syrup, pineapple juice, coconut cream and crushed ice. Simply mix them all together for a refreshing alcohol-free piña colada, ideal as an aperitif. Decorate with a piece of pineapple or cherry and enjoy!

Alcohol-free mojito or G&T
Classics that never fail. Simply make the some cocktail as usual but omit the rum in the mojito and the gin in the G&T (keep the extras, like cucumber, pepper or even a sweet). Hard to believe, but they work a treat.

San Francisco
The classic fruity cocktail is back in vogue thanks to the fresh interest in alcohol-free cocktails. Simply mix together orange, lemon, peach and pomegranate juice, sugar and a slice of lemon or orange. Et voilà!

You can also throw this handy piece of trivia into conversation to impress your guests: alcohol-free cocktails are also known as mocktails.
