Chopping boards can become a breeding ground for bacteria in your kitchen if you don’t disinfect them properly. Soap and water aren’t enough; washing-up liquid isn’t enough. All you need is a lemon. Simply cut it in half and rub over the board, making sure the juices soak it. Leave for ten minutes, rinse with water and dry well.
