Nutrition experts are increasingly encouraging us to eat dinner at least two hours before going to bed. This habit gives us time to digest our food, which makes for a deeper, healthier night’s sleep. And we’re less likely to put on weight, since we’ve had time to burn off some of the calories from our dinner. Many people, though, still like to eat or drink something before going to bed, such as a piece of fruit, a yogurt or a herbal tea. Have you ever thought of adding a dash of walnut, almond or hazelnut drink to your herbal tea?
You can drink them hot in winter, and cold, or even chilled, in summer. You can also pick the best herbal tea to match your mood: lime flower tea if you’ve had a stressful day, dandelion tea to reduce fluid retention, camomile tea to ease indigestion… Not forgetting a dash of your favourite plant-based drink. Who ever thought going to bed could be such a joy!
