Soya chaap
Ingredients
- Half kg ready-to-eat soya chaap
- Spices: soya chaap masala, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala
- Sunflower and Extra Virgin olive oil
- 1 cup of milk
- Chopped onions
- Tomato puree
- Finely chopped ginger
- Garlic cloves
- Whole spices: Tej patta (Bay leaf), cardamom seeds, cinnamon sticks
Step by step

Step 1
Deep fry the soya chaap in the Sunflower and Extra Virgin olive oil until golden brown. Set aside.

In a pan, heat Sunflower and Extra Virgin olive oil and sauté onions, Tej patta, cardamom seeds, and cinnamon sticks until onions are golden. Let cool. Remove Tej patta, then blend onions and spices with tomato puree into a thin paste.

In the same pan, heat the paste, add soya chaap masala, chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until oil separates. Stir in milk and simmer until the gravy thickens and becomes creamy.

Add fried soya chaap, letting it simmer briefly to absorb the flavours. Sprinkle a pinch of garam masala and turn off the heat.

Garnish with cream and coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapatis.
