Strawberry Bruschetta with a Hint of Balsamic Vinegar

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 150 g strawberries
  • 25 ml Borges balsamic vinegar of Modena
  • 100 g goat cheese
  • A splash of Borges extra virgin olive oil
  • A few fresh basil leaves
  • Black pepper (optional)

Step by step

  1. Step 1

    Slice the strawberries, transfer them to a bowl, and mix them with the balsamic vinegar of Modena. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15-20 minutes so they soak up the vinegar and release their juices.

  2. Step 2

    Slice the baguette and toast the slices until golden brown and crispy.

  3. Step 3

    Spread the goat cheese (or your favorite cheese) onto the baguette slices while they are still warm.

  4. Step 4

    Lay the strawberries on top of the cheese and top with a splash of extra virgin olive oil. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and, if you like, finish off the dish with a pinch of black pepper.
