  • 250 g flour of choice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 bananas
  • 100 g panela or substitutes
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 60 ml Borges light olive oil
  • 125 ml Borges Natura walnut drink
  • a spoonful of honey
  • A handful of Borges walnuts

  1. Step 1

    This delicious banana bread gives you a healthy energy boost at breakfast, with afternoon tea or for dessert. Irresistible at any time of day!

  2. Step 2

    Preheat the oven to 190 ºC. Grease a rectangular cake tin with a little olive oil and line with baking paper.

    Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl and put by.
    Mash the bananas with a fork and put by.

    In another bowl, beat together the eggs, panela and vanilla essence to make an airy, creamy mixture. Add the mashed banana, olive oil, walnut drink and honey and stir in well. Stir in the dry ingredients to make a smooth mixture without any lumps. Finally, mix in the walnuts.

    Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until a cake skewer comes out clean. Leave to cool on a cooling rack and decore it.
