A neat way to find out when your spaghetti are al dente

Throwing your spaghetti against the wall tiles might well be a fun way to find out whetherit’s al dente, but it’s not very effective. And pretty messy. The best way to find out whetherit’s al dente is to cut it in half: if you can see a white dot in the middle, it’s time to take it off the heat. At this point, it hasn’t cooked completely, but it will finish off when you heat it up with the sauce. So, throwing spaghetti at the wall might be good for busting stress, but not for testing your pasta.
