Basic ingredients for any salad

11 June 2019

Wave goodbye to sad salads boring enough to put a downer on your whole day. And say hello to fun, tasty salads with a certain something that will drive you wild. Well, not just any certain something: Borges dressings, which can liven up anything, starting with a humble lettuce. Fresh rosemary dressing brings a breath of Mediterranean air into your kitchen; lemon zest dressing adds a sexy, refreshing twist; fresh basil dressing evokes la bell’Italia…. There are flavours and aromas for all tastes. And they couldn’t be simpler to use: for starters, add a dash to a highly nutritious salad made with all these ingredients:

Tomatoes
Packed with potassium, magnesium and vitamins B1, B2, B5 and C but with hardly any calories (100 g of tomatoes contains only 18 kcal). Absolutely essential!

Carrots
An excellent ingredient with lots of vitamins and minerals. They also contain more carbohydrates than other garden vegetables, so they’re also a great source of energy.

Eggs
Rich in proteins, vitamins and phosphorus, they’re also low in calories, which makes them a reliable ally when you’re watching your weight.

Tuna
Rich in vitamins, phosphorus and magnesium, as well as omega-3, which helps reduce blood cholesterol levels.

Olives
A good source of vitamins A and E, sodium, calcium and iron. Green or black, whole or pitted, take your pick and enjoy their wonderful taste.

Nuts
Top off your salads with a cheeky handful of assorted nuts. Borges’ Antiox Mix, for example, will give you a tasty energy boost and put a smile on your face.
