There’s no better pairing for pasta than extra-virgin olive oil, whose unsaturated fatty acids are the key to a healthy heart. They combine deliciously to give you a healthy energy boost that will keep you going all day long. Here are some hints for the perfect match:
All’aglio e olio. Warm some olive oil in a frying pan and gently fry some cloves of garlic. When warm, take them out and mix the olive oil with some spaghetti. Top off with some grated Parmesan and you’re good to go!
In any salad. Start with a base of cold pasta and add some rocket, raw mushrooms, radishes, some of your favourite blue cheese and a handful of walnuts. Dress with a drizzling of olive oil and a pinch of salt. Tuck in!
On its own. So, you’re rushed off your feet but dying for some pasta… Simply boil the pasta until it’s al dente and serve with a dash of extra-virgin olive oil, topped off with some grated Parmesan. Less is often more.
