Arrange the strawberries on a flat dish with enough room between them so they’re not touching. Then cover with pierced clingfilm and put them in the fridge. Take them out an hour before eating, but don’t cut them up or cut off the stalk until just before eating.
And don’t forget that strawberries are one of the few fruits that freeze well, so stock up while they’re in season and put some by for a winter treat. Make sure you wash and dry them well before freezing.
