Homemade granola recipe with Borges rice and walnut drink

Give yourself an energy boost with your own granola, the sweetest way to start the day!


  • 130 g jumbo rolled oats
  • 170 g buckwheat groats
  • 50 g pumpkin seeds
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • 60 g Borges shelled California walnuts
  • 60 g Borges Pizarro almonds
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 5 tbsp Borges extra-virgin olive oil
  • 150 g maple syrup
  • 90 g Borges seedless raisins
  • 5 tbsp grated coconut

Step by step

  1. Step 1

    Mix together the cereal, seeds and nuts. Add the cinnamon, followed by the olive oil and maple syrup. Stir well to bind all the ingredients together.

  2. Step 2

    Spread the mixture out evenly onto a large baking tray. Bake at 135 ºC for about 45 minutes, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes. The granola is cooked when it’s golden and crunchy.

  3. Step 3

    Take out of the oven, add the raisins and grated coconut and stir again. Leave to cool before transferring to an airtight or metal container.

  4. Step 4

    Pour a glass of hazelnut, walnut or almond drink on top for the perfect combination of flavours.
