Steak salad with balsamic dressing


  • 1 large thick steak
  • 300 g of mixed baby greens
  • 1 large avocado
  • 1 spring onion
  • 100 g gorgonzola cheese

For the vinaigrette

  • 5 tablespoons Borges extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Borges balsamic vinegar
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped basil
  • Salt and pepper

Step by step

  1. Step 1

    Prepare the vinaigrette: in a bowl, mix the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic and chopped basil, along with some salt and pepper. 


  2. Step 2

    Cook the steak in a very hot pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, until it is medium rare. 

  3. Step 3

    Place the mixed greens in a salad bowl and add the diced avocado, the sliced spring onion, the crumbled gorgonzola cheese and the steak sliced into strips. 

  4. Step 4

    Pour the balsamic vinaigrette over the top, stir and serve while the meat is still warm.
