Spaghetti with meatballs



  • 360 g Borges spaghetti
  • 400 g natural tomato sauce
  • 250 g ground beef
  • 250 g ground pork
  • 80 g Borges green pitted olives
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 30 g breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper
  • A pinch of oregano
  • Borges extra virgin olive oil
  • 80 g grated Parmesan cheese

Step by step

  1. Step 1

    Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions. 

  2. Step 2

    In a bowl, mix the ground pork and ground beef with the egg yolks, a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until all the ingredients are blended. 

    Finally, add the breadcrumbs and finish mixing. 

  3. Step 3

    Form the meat mixture into small balls and fry them in a pan with plenty of extra-virgin olive oil. Set them aside. 

  4. Step 4

    Brown the onion and garlic in a deep pan with a splash of extra-virgin olive oil.  Once browned, add the thinly sliced olives, cook for a couple of minutes and then add the tomato sauce. Cover and cook for around 10 minutes. 

  5. Step 5

    Add the meatballs and cook for about 5 minutes more. 

  6. Step 6

    Add the spaghetti to the pan, stir well to combine the flavors and serve, if you like, with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
